49th Annual Charity Ball presented by the Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo
Crisp paper lanterns, beautiful orchids, and exotic dragons carved from fruit set the tone for an “Evening in the Orient.” Which happened to be this year’s theme for the Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo’s annual Charity Ball. Unfolded oriental fans and purple-lit walls of stylized bamboo complemented the foreign themed affair. An annual event, this year’s ball celebrated its 49th anniversary at the BancorpSouth Arena from 7-10pm on February 10th. The Tupelo Symphony Jazz Band and the band, Almost Famous, both served as live entertainment throughout the evening. Guests enjoyed a delicious menu of Asian fare prepared by Executive Chef Josh Simpson, from the Hilton Garden Inn. All proceeds from the event went to serve the children of Tupelo and Lee County through projects the Junior Auxiliary provide.
