She wore a veil of single layer silk with satin ribbon edging. She carried a bouquet of white peonies, hydrangeas, ranunculus, and mini callas, wrapped in lace from her mother’s bridal gown and her grandfather’s handkerchief. Flowers were done by Ashley Jordan-Hill of A Twisted Twig.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Colonel’s Quarters at Castle Hill Resort. Castle Hill’s catering staff served an array of food from shrimp shooters to the groom’s requested chicken “laser” tenders. The six-tier bride’s cake, by Corey Lewis, alternated layers of double vanilla cake with Nutella and vanilla butter cream and lemon cake with raspberry preserves and Gran Marnier butter cream, all covered with vanilla butter cream and a full fresh floral top with pearls and sugar rhinestones. The groom’s cake was a cast sugar sculpture of Colonel Rebel and the Black Bear on top of three tiers of chocolate cake with chocolate ganache toasted, salted pecans, and caramel buttercream, and a double vanilla cake with ganache and milk chocolate buttercream.

A lined tent in the courtyard was decorated with an abundance of candles and white flowers. The Compozitionz from Jackson served as entertainment.

Guests left with homemade brownies as a party favor and cheered on the happy couple as they left with red and blue pom-poms – a tribute to the couples’ alma mater, Ole Miss.

Postcards from European countries served as a guestbook, reminiscent of a summer spent together in Innsbruck, Austria.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted on the eve of the wedding by the parents of the groom at the Oxford University Club.

Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple is at home in Jackson, where the groom is a representative with Careview Communications and the bride is a pharmaceutical representative with Edwards Pharmaceutical.
